Relationship Counselling

Another key application of Socionics is understanding how people of different types relate to one another, allowing us to identify the ways that people clash and complement. Counselling takes this to the next step, helping both parties to agree on the path forward.

Drawing on his understanding of personality type, Jack Aaron has been able to save marriages in the past and improve how teams work together.

FAQs

What is the relationship counselling process?

  • The counselling process consists of three steps:
  • 2 diagnostic sessions (60 minutes each) , done separately - 2 x £50 = £100
  • 1 feedback session (60 minutes), done together - £50
  • Counselling sessions (90 minutes each), done together - £75 per session

How many counselling sessions?

  • Every relationship is different and so are the issues that may need to be bridged. Typically, two or three sessions would be advised, but it depends. There may be a desire to revisit things, once an initial plan has been put into practice for the relationship.

Is this just for romantic couples?

  • No, the techniques used in relationship counselling can just as easily be applied in a professional or other context. At the end of the day, it is about bridging differences between two people.

How is payment taken?

  1. Payment is taken over Stripe when you book the session on Calendly. It is easy to use, however, if this is not an option, please email worldsocionics@hotmail.com.

Is relationship counselling done in public?

  • It is not recommended that relationship counselling is done in public, given the deeply personal nature of the sessions and unpredictability over what might be said.

Does there need to be a recording at all?

  • It is recommended but not mandatory that a recording is kept of the counselling sessions and prior diagnostic interviews. If you don't want a recording at all, that request will be fully respected.

Do we need to be typed before the relationship counselling?

  • It is strongly recommended that you both get typed in Socionics before you book a relationship counselling session. This gives the relationship counsellor insights into your personalities and how they complement and clash, which can be crucial in understanding and finding a path forwards. Although counselling will be possible without this, it would be operating without those key insights.

Do I need to prepare anything beforehand?

  • No, just please make sure both you and your partner are on board and committed to the process.
