About WSS
Welcome to the World Socionics Society – the global hub for the study, application, and advancement of Socionics.
Founded to unite a growing international community of Socionics enthusiasts, practitioners, and researchers, WSS exists to bring clarity, depth, and scientific rigour to this powerful typological framework. Whether you're a newcomer curious about personality theory or a seasoned expert seeking a more structured, evidence-based approach to Socionics, you're in the right place.
The WSS was established with a clear purpose:
Socionics is a theory of personality type that builds on the work of Carl Jung and Antoni Kępiński. Initially created by Lithuanian psychologist, Aušra Augustinavičiūtė, it is superficially similar to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), but much more complex and powerful under the hood. By modelling how individuals process information, prioritise their motivations, and interact with others, Socionics enables deep insights into personal development, relationship compatibility, team dynamics, and much more. We are committed to bringing out the best of the theory, developing its applications, and setting a standard of good practice.
Jack Aaron, MSc, is the founder of the World Socionics Society. With a background in psychology and philosophy, Jack created WSS to unlock the full potential of Socionics, raise its profile, and challenge pseudoscientific practices within the field.
He continues to oversee the Society's public content, research direction, and certification standards, bringing a modern, global perspective to a theory that is often overlooked or misunderstood in the English-speaking world.
