The Demonstrative Function

The 8th function of Model A is the Demonstrative function. It is the powerful background of the psyche, a place of refuge and recreation without being taken seriously. It taken entirely for granted, is relied on more in unfamiliar situations, and works continuously without projecting its own expectations onto others.

The Demonstrative function is defined by the following dichotomies:

  1. Public vs Private
  2. Strong vs Weak
  3. Valued vs Neglected
  4. Obvious vs Subtle
  5. Constant vs Variable
  6. Stubborn vs Flexible
  7. Demanding vs Supplying

It forms the Id block with the Ignoring function.

It forms the Growth transition with the Role function.

It forms the Mastery dynamic with the Creative function.
