The Ignoring Function

The 7th function of Model A is the Ignoring function. It is the suppressed part of the person's psyche, and is not used unless the Dominant function requires it to proceed. In the rare circumstances it is activated, it operates effectively and once again deactivates.

The Ignoring function is defined by the following dichotomies:

  1. Public vs Private
  2. Strong vs Weak
  3. Valued vs Neglected
  4. Obvious vs Subtle
  5. Constant vs Variable
  6. Stubborn vs Flexible
  7. Demanding vs Supplying

It forms the Id block with the Demonstrative function.

It forms the Distraction transition with the Suggestive function.

It forms the Dominance dynamic with the Leading function.
